Let us tell you a quick story... a story far too familiar to many other detailers out there.
This was the story of a Detailer we met that we will never forget. He was an accomplished man who owned an incredible patented polishing system, amazingly skilled at his craft, late 60's in age... yet still Detailing in his business, struggling to get by, and forced to re-locate due to a $500 increase in shop rent.
The ugly truth unfortunately is that he's not alone. While many may not yet be to that age, or their story may not quite look the same, they find themselves pacing in that direction to some extent. For some, its been years of hard work but still find themselves doing most of the physical labor. For others, they've started to build a team, but are running so lean that a $500 to $1000 change in income or expenses can send the whole operation crashing down. If not that, throw the volatile monthly revenue in the mix that can plague the industry and you've got yourself a recipe for stress and chaos instead of peace and security.
If you relate to any of this, you aren't alone. In fact, these problems are quite common with the nature of the field in turning a skilled craft into a business. Just because these are common however, doesn't mean they should be common for you. I imagine if you are reading this you have some level of desire within you to build your business and grow it into what you know it can be. To create a vessel that can even pay you monthly with little to no involvement of your own if built correctly.
There's Business Owners every day that get to spend the majority of their time as they please. They don't miss their kids' soccer games, school programs, and don't miss their kids growing up before their eyes. They don't miss date nights with their spouse, they don't work 60 hours a week, and they don't worry about financial stress or burden.
